April 16, 2012

This week has just been amazing. I have been feeling way better and the work here is just on fire. I cannot believe how amazing the missionaries I am working with are. I am in a zone with 10 other missionaries and they are just dead set on being obediant and doing the work. Right now as a zone we are preparing 14 people for baptism!!

Me and Sister Judd are working with Pam, who is an older lady in search of the truth. Well she has found it and is loving what she is learning. She plans on getting baptized the first part of May and we cannot wait for her to recieve the blessings Heavenly Father Has in store.

We are also working with Kalynn. She is a Young mom and her Husband is a member but hasnt been to church for years. They are just the most amazing people! They are working hard to overcome some issues and then She will be baptized May 12th. I feel so blessed to be working with both of these amazing people.

Being a missionary is truly one of the greatest things in the world. The spirit is so strong and I feel so blessed to have that with me all the time. I have felt so many prayers being answered this week as my health has been improving and we have been able to really see the work just explode.

I love this gospel, I know this is the true church!! I feel so blessed to be here in Oregon and meeting all these amazing people.

April 9, 2012

Its been a week her in Merlin and I just love it. The people here are amazing, and the work is going great. This week we prepared Krysta for Baptism. She is so solid and has such an amazing testimony. My first night here I met her and she is just golden! She was baptized saturday and the spirit was super strong.

So covering the Merlin ward we cover 5 towns. We cover Glendale, Sunnyvalley, Hugo, Merlin, and one other I cant remember the name. It is very Rural and the area is huge and spread out. But it has been fun getting to see the beautiful country out here. We like with the Johnson's who live on a mountain. We wake up to the most amazing view every morning. I seriously if I am not in a good mood by the time we walk out the door, I am once I look outside and see the amazing Valley.

I am companions with Sister Judd. Who my first transfer I met her and was like, flip I need to be her companion. She is just great, she is an amazing Missionary and I have learned so much from her. I am the junior companion this transfer and its kinda nice not having the responsibility to train or run the area. I do my part, but its nice to have someone who knows whats going on so its not on me so much :) I cannot believe how blessed this area is. I love it so much, it is beautiful and has so much potential!!

I love you all and hope its all well.

April 2, 2012

I need to start by saying thank you for all the prayers and fasting in my behalf. This week was a little touch and go with my stomach issues and I can feel the prayers and fasting and how much it truly works. God Answers prayers and I feel so blessed to have family and friends who have faith in that and have kept me in their prayers.

Well Wasn't this week just amazing. It has been a long week! But it has been good. Monday We had sisters Conference, which I think I already emailed about. It was great being with the leadership in the mission.

Conference was such an amazing experience. I love how much the importance of family was talked about. I love that it is true council from the Lord through his servants. One of my favorite talks was Pres. Utchdorf. I love how he gave the council to just "Stop It". If we all could listen to that council and follow it I cannot imagine the peace and love that would abide in our homes.

I got notice thursday that I would be transfered, so this weekend was a lot of goodbye's. Six months in an area makes you feel like you have a lot of family there. It has been amazing to really go back and look at all the people I have met, they truly have been such a blessing to my life. I will never forget all that I learned here in Roseburg.

I am headed down to Merlin, Its right outside of Grants pass. It is an amazingly beautiful place and I cannot wait to get to work with Sister Judd. She is an amazing missionary and I have a lot to learn from her.

I love you all and hope things will continue to be well with all of you.

March 27, 2012

So this last week was super awesome!!! On friday we had Josie's Baptism. Earlier in the Day we had interviews with President. It is interesting to see how satan works in many different ways. I have been one of the missionaries working with Josie the past Six months. Her mom wanted her baptism this last wweek before transfers just in case I left. Its been an amazing process to teach in the home and to have the spirit guide as to how to teach Josie. Friday at Interviews I was pretty sick. Most of you know I am dealing with a few stomach issues out here. Well Sister Young saw me and knew something was wrong and in the time we had to talk she decided I needed to call home and see if Mom or Dad had any suggestions. In the interview with President He also saw how ill I was and was pretty worried. I ended up in the ER. I was blessed to get the Only Member Doctor. He came in and checked me out and I told him the need to be out in time for the Baptism. He gave me a lot of medication, and made sure I was okay and sent me on my way. The baptism went great, Its all a Little fuzzy to me but It went smoothly and the spirit was very strong. Josie is amazing and a great example to her family!

So Other than interviews and the baptism, yesterday we had sisters conferece. You can see pictures of that at oregoneugenemission.blogspot. It was an amazing training and I can truly feel the Love of President Young. He wants the best for everyone of his missionaries and it is a great feeling to have that knowledge.

Oh and it rains allot so it flooded. I will attatch some of those pictures too.

Well I love you all!!
Peace and Blessings

Roseburg Is On fire! We have been able to see so many miracles as we
have been out working with this amazing area. I love my Companion,
Sister Robinson is just fantastic. We are having so much fun working
together and we work very well together also.

This week we have been teaching and Preparing a lot of people for
Baptism. This Friday Josie will be getting Baptized. We have been
teaching her since November and We are excited to see her take this
next step.

On april 7th Tonda Will be getting Baptized. He walked into Church 3
weeks ago with His friend Pearl Who had not been to church in many
years. The Miracles we are seeing are so amazing.

We are also working with Dawn, Latesha and Erics Mom to get her ready
for Baptism. There are a few things we have to work through before she
can get baptized but it will be such a blessing when she is. Bringing
families into the church is truly the most amazing thing in the world.

I love the Gospel. I know it is true and that it can bless every life.

Love you all

Love sister Rose

Peace and Blessings.

March 12, 2012

Whats Up Guys! This week has been amazing. We have had to work hard in
the time that has been given to us in between the sickness. Working
smart is the key when the flu is present.

Last Sunday we had Pearl and Tonda Show up to church, We greated them
at the door and Pearl said "this is our first time here."  We found
out Pearl is actually a member who hasnt come for a long time, but her
Friend Tonda has never been. We taught him 3 lessons and He has agreed
that Baptism is the next step for him. Miracles do exist!! Tonda will
be baptized April 6th! We are excited for him.

We also found out that Josie, One of the Coolest little Kids I have
ever taught, is now ready for baptism. She will be getting Baptized
March 23rd. It has been really fun to teach and prepare her for
baptism.

The area is going good. It has been interesting to be here sixth
months. I cannot believe when I came here The leaves were just falling
off the tree and now the spring trees are starting to blossom. It
makes me realize time really is passing by way to quickly. The first
week we got to the area I found a CD with a talk by President Holland.
This morning while I listened to the Same talk I realized I have
almost memorized the thing word for word. Turns out if you listen to
something almost every other day for 6 months you can know if pretty
well.

Well I love you guys, I hope you are all doing well. I dont have many
pictures for this week. Sorry I will be better at taking pictures. I
love you all!!

Love Sister Rose

March 5, 2012

This week went so Fast. I honestly cannot believe how quick time is
going. We were stuck in the house for a total of 3 days due to the flu
with one companion and thrown out back with another and Stomach issues
with me so it was just a party.

Sister Farnsworth Left this morning. I hate saying goodbye to my
companions. It really is probably the worst part of my mission. This
goodbye is harder because she is going to russia, not even a different
part of the mission, or going home to Utah or something but to russia.
She is going to do amazing out there. I cannot wait to hear about all
her crazy adventures.

Well Really not much has happened this week, we are just really trying
to stay alive and get out and work. I love this gospel and I love
being able to share it with the people here in Oregon.

Peace and Blessings.
